These portraits are all based on the increasing awareness of mental health, in which they focus on the mood and emotion of people to document the mental health of young adults and students within our society. The image 'Picasso's Emotions' documents the thoughts and feelings of someone who has suffered with a mental illness, which has been expressed through applying descriptive words that the subject described, and adding them digitally as subtle tattoos across the subjects skin in order to reflect how mental health is generally hidden from view. This also takes inspiration from Nadav Kander's portraits and Pablo Picasso's Depression paintings.
